STATUS: Should I Do A New Anniversary Post?

Hello BardiGang,

First off, I hope that you guys have been keeping yourselves safe and healthy away from this virus that’s been going around here lately. We don’t want to see any of you guys getting sick.

Second, I hope that you all are aware that as of next week, “Invasion of Privacy,” will be turning two years old as of April 6th. I have polls up, both on Twitter and on Instagram (from my story) so you guys can vote on whether or not if I should do a completely new Anniversary post, or if I should not go through the trouble, and just put out a link on both platforms.

How would you guys want to see the blog celebrate the two year anniversary? Please let me know in the comments!

Dallas Martin is an Senior Vice President of A&R for Atlantic Records. Atlantic Records, also just so happen to be the record label that Cardi is under. So, it’s almost practically confirmed that Cardi will more than likely come back, if someone from Atlantic is covering it. There hasn’t been any word from an actual confirmation from eithere the three judges or Netflix.

So, what do you think? Are you guys excited for a Season 2 of Rhythm + Flow, if so please leave a comment to show your excitement!

UPDATED: The three judges, Cardi B., T.I, and Chance the Rapper have all took to Twitter to confirm that “Rhythm & Flow” will indeed be returning for a Season 2. Here’s what Cardi, Chance the Rapper and T.I., has to say about the show returning on Twitter.

Fast and the Furious 9 Delayed Until 2021

The highly anticipated sequal to Fast and the Furious 8, Fast and the Furious 9 has pushed back its theatrical release date by a year Universal Studios.

Universal Studios, the company behind the “Fast & Furious” franchise, made the decision because of the impact that the fast-moving coronavirus is having on the global economy and the distribution landscape. Theaters remain closed in Italy, South Korea and China, where the virus has hit hardest. There’s also a mounting sense that some theaters will close in the U.S. as the outbreak continues to spread. “Fast 9” will now open globally in April 2021 and in the U.S. on April 2.

Vin Diesel made the announcement on social media.

“We feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga,” he wrote. “That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May. While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration,”

“Fast 9” was scheduled to be released in the United States on May 22, 2020. The move is a blow to movie theaters. “Fast & Furious” sequels tend to be among the year’s highest-grossing movies and the release date shift leaves Memorial Day weekend without one of its star attractions.

This would be Cardi’s second film that she would make an appearance in, but will be a somewhat bigger role compared to her appearance in her first film, Hustler’s with Jennifer Lopez. Cardi B portrays Leysa, a woman who shares a history with Dom.

Here is the first trailer of the Fast and the Furious 9.

It is sad to see that a film has to be delayed, but for the safety of everyone it is understandable. We hope that everyone apart of the Fast and the Furious 9 cast ends up being safe and healthy from the CoronaVirus epidemic.

‘Invasion of Privacy’ Has Spent 100 Weeks on the Billboard Hot 200

Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” now has spent 100 Weeks on the Billboard 200! This marks the FIRST debut album by a female rapper to ever achieve this!

This comes from ChartData on Twitter.

It has been almost two years since Cardi B shook the world with the release of her debut album, Invasion Of Privacy. The songs on there hold up to this day and the charts reflect that people are still feverishly bumping them.

Back in January, IOP became tied with Lauryn Hill’s classic, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, for the longest-charting debut by a female rapper. At that point, both albums had spent 91 weeks on the Billboard 200.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS CARDI B! 🎉🎉🎉

YEARS LATER: Cardi B & Bruno Mars Collab “Please Me” Debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100

A year ago today, Cardi B had released her collab song, “Please Me” with Bruno Mars had peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, also making it Cardi’s first Top 5 within 2019. This song would also make this Cardi seventh Top 10 of her career.

A YEAR LATER: Cardi B’s Rodeo Concert SOLD OUT & “Cardi B Day”

Today on March 1st, a year from today, Cardi B went out and did her first live performance of the year at Houston, Texas.

The tickets for the Houston Rodeo Show for the performance for Cardi had SOLD OUT within 10 minutes. Bringing in 75,580 fans, Cardi set a Houston Rodeo attendance record previously held by Selena Quintanilla. Since then, March 1st was also declared “Cardi B Day,” in Houston.

This was Cardi’s first big performance of the year in 2019, and it went onto being a very successful show, and not only was it a successful show, it was the first taste of seeing how much Cardi has grown into being a performer.

The production of the set itself was super cohesive, and a lot of fun with bright colors. I was super excited to see this show, even though I wasn’t in the audience, but I was coming home from a bad late night from work when this concert was happening. Seeing Cardi having fun performing really put me back into a good mood that Friday night. I LOVED her cowgirl performing outfit! It’s still one of my favorite Cardi performing outfits to come out from last year. She really sold the whole Rodeo/cowgirl look.

From what a lot of people has said who did went to this show last year, the audience that Cardi brought in for this show was completely diverse! It was like every single race was singing along to her songs no matter what. This is another reason why I’m so proud of Cardi as an artist. She doesn’t just reach out to Latin’s, or the Blacks, or just white people. Her range goes from everybody, if they love the music and the artist enough the people would come out in droves to support you.

As I’ve mentioned a couple of times in this post, today also marks “Cardi B Day” in Houston, as a holiday! I don’t know how you guys celebrated today, but I personally celebrated by streaming most of her music. We need to come together on Twitter or Instagram or something to try and come up with ideas on how we can celebrate March 1st as a fanbase! This day should be celebrated in some way! Maybe a big fanbase streaming party. I’m sure some big page on either Instagram or Twitter can be able to host and pull that together for the fanbase!

Does this marks one of your favorite live performance from Cardi from last year? Did you like it as her first performance to kick off the start of the year! Please, tell us down in the comments!
