Cardi B. Talks About Business and Gets Personal at Beauty Con NYC 2019

The Bronx female rapper Cardi B., stopped by Beautycon Festival NYC for her “Making Money Moves” panel moderated by Beautycon CEO Moj Mahdara on Sunday. The busy star, who performed in the early hours at the Palms Casino Resort’s KAOS nightclub in Las Vegas, apologized to the audience for being late to the stage and shared, “I’m gonna overbook myself. I’m always chasing the bag.”

Cardi was able to give out some great advice on when it comes to making the most of what you earn.

“Always take a business class because sometimes the career that you studied for one day is not gonna make you happy and you wanna become your own boss, but you cannot be your own boss because you don’t know how to manage a business,” Cardi said. “Me? I got mad money. Mad money! But you wanna know something? I have to hire business managers and sh*t and pay extra money for these people just to run a business because I didn’t took the class. So I gotta depend on somebody else to run my business. That’s why you gotta take a business class and they don’t tell you.”

The artists will be celebrated for their impact on hip-hop and will be the subjects of life-sized sculptures capturing their personalities. The sculptures in the Spotify Installation will be on display at the Brooklyn Museum in New York April 3-7. The Pantheon was created by Spotify’s in-house team.

Cardi B Joins Jennifer Lopez & Constance Wu in ‘Hustlers’

Joining Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians) music star Cardi B in her feature debut, Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Julia Stiles (Silver Linings Playbook) and Oscar-winner Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King). Trace Lysette (Transparent) and Mette Towley (Cats) are in negotiations to join.

Writer-director Lorene Scafaria’s (The Meddler) movie, inspired by a 2016 New York Magazine article, follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.

The film marks the feature debut of Grammy winner Cardi B, who has previously discussed working as a stripper before becoming a singer. The rapper also collaborated with Jennifer Lopez last year on song Dinero.
