Cardi B puts on some football gear along with the NFL team, the Los Angeles Chargers in their practice field of Costa Mesa, California, for the newest episode of “Cardi Tries,” a Facebook mini serieies where rapper, Cardi B and some of her friends try their hands at some new skills.

In this episode, Cardi brings along, “WAP,” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion as the duo learns some fundamentall football skills from pros Antonio Gates, Derwin James, and Keenan Allen.

Cardi on why she wants to learn and try football:

“Since I have son, I want to be one of those sports moms that be all involved in the sports activities.”

Cardi & Megan take on everything on the football field from learning how to tackle, celebratory touchdown dances, and the 40-yard dash, which according to Gates, typically completed within four seconds.

“When I was in high school, I used to go to hooky parties and the cops used to bust the hooky parties a lot so I had to run a lot.”

Cardi feeling confident in her ability to deliver a quick dash.

Cardi B’s Interview on David Letterman’s Show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman”

In the latest season of the Netflix interview series, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” Cardi B gets a candid discussion interview with the late-night legend David Letterman, to dicsuss her life, career, and responsibility to touch on her views on politics and other social issues.

Within the past recent years, the Grammy Award winning rapper had made her rise into stardom as a prominent musician & as a reality tv star when she was on “Love & Hip-Hop New York” for two seasons. Since evolving into an actual superstar in the music landscape, she is one of the many celebrities that does uses her platform as an activist, and has had sit down interviews with Senator Bernie Sanders, and even chatted with the eventual new President, Joe Biden.

During the coversation with Letterman, Cardi explains why she doesn’t put more of a political stance in her music:

“I don’t really put a lot of political things in my music, but I used the f*** out my platform. And I have used my platform even when I was a dancer. Because you might think that people are not looking, but they are.”

In the interview, Letterman speaks in admiration and respect on what usually comes with the consequences of fame and commeded someone like Cardi on her willingess on wanting to inform people on topics that they may be ignorant about, & show what’s really going on in the world.

“I mean, I’m a hood chick, and I’m from the Bronx. A lot of people relate to me and follow me because they want to see how I’m dressed; they want to see my lifestyle. I feel like I have a responsibility to also share to them like, ‘Hey, while you here, and you’re checking my outfit and checking my music, check out what’s going on overe here in this part of the world.'”

The fourth season of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” was released Friday, May 20th on Netflix, and Cardi is just the start of the guests for this season. Other special guests episodes will eventually feature: Kevin Durant, Billie Eillish, Ryan Reynolds, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Will Smith, and much more.
