YEARS LATER: A Year Ago Cardi’s “Wish Wish” with DJ Khaled and 21 Savage was Released

A year ago, Cardi’s collab with DJ Khaled and 21 Savage was released. The song was taken from DJ Khaled’s eleventh studio album, “Father of Asahd”. The song peaked on the Billboard HOT 100 at #19 and had spent over 15 weeks on Billboard.

This song marked the second time each artist had worked with another, their firsts being: Cardi B & 21 Savage on “Bartier Cardi” (2017), 21 Savage & DJ Khaled on “Iced Out My Arms” (2017), and DJ Khaled & Cardi B on “Dinero” (2018). It was also nominated at the Video Music Awards in 2019 for ‘Best Power Anthem.’

It is now currently PLATINUM in the United States. It has a combined total of 177 MILLION streams on Spotify and YouTube 92 MILLION VIEWS)!

Two years ago, Cardi B & DJ Khaled were featured on J-Lo’s “Dinero”. The song peaked at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was #1 on Billboard Latin Airplay!

Cardi B to be Featured on DJ Khaled’s Album “Father of Asahd

It’s been more than a year since DJ Khaled announced Father of Asahd in the beginning of 2018, the new album dropped at midnight on Friday (May 17th). DJ Khaled has revealed the tracklist for the album and as usual, it’s absolutely loaded with A-list talent.   

The producer unveiled the album’s cover art a few days earlier, featuring Khaled himself and the most important person in his life, his 2-year-old son Asahd. Cardi is featured on the second track, “Wish Wish” alongside with 21 Savage, this would also be the second time that Cardi has collabed with 21 Savage, but her first time collabing with DJ Khaled.
