Cardi along with Jimmy Fallon, Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai, Tom Hanks, LeBron James, Lil Nas X, Dolly Parton, Ronan Farrow, Game of Thrones and Celine Dion are among the winners of the 24th annual Webby Awards, which honor the best of the web.
They were honored during an online celebration dubbed WFH: Webby From Home, hosted by Patton Oswalt, which began streaming on the Webby Awards’ website at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT.
The Webbys said this year’s event is dedicated to:
“Honoring outstanding individuals and organizations who are using the Internet in response to the incredible difficulties imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic.”
Those Special Achievement honorees include Kristen Bell, D-Nice, Invisible Hands, Miley Cyrus, Some Good News With John Krasinski, Swab Squad, Houseparty and the Black Fairy Godmother.
Webby winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. In addition, the organization hands out People’s Voice Awards, chosen by fans. The academy said 2.5 million votes were cast in more than 230 countries to choose those winners.
