Cardi B Wins “Hip-Hop Artist of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Awards

Another big win for Cardi B. On Thursday night (March 14), the Bronx superstar took home the trophy for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

In a field that included commercial juggernauts like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Travis Scott, Bardi’s win is no small feat. It’s also not really that surprising.

Just a bit less than a year ago, Cardi set the tone for 2018 by dropping off Invasion of Privacy, a breakout debut album that included hard-hitting bars and commercial-friendly music that established her as a legit superstar. Last month, that LP won her a gramophone for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Now that she’s got a new LP on the way, she could very well repeat the accomplishment next year.

Cardi B’s Single “Please Me” with Bruno Mars Hits Peak at Billboard’s Top 3

Cardi went to Instagram Monday to celebrate her Bruno Mars collabo securing the third spot on Billboard’s prestigious list.

In mid-February, Cardi B released their new song ‘Please me’ in collaboration with singer Bruno Mars. The song is a success not only on YouTube, but also on the main music platforms.

In the Billboard Hot 100 update, as of today on March 11th, Cardi B’s “Please Me” with Bruno rose 11 places, peaking at # 3 on the chart. The owner of the top in the update of the parade is the great return single “Sucker” of the Jonas Brothers , while “7 rings” of Ariana Grande figure in # 2.

‘Please me’ is not the first collaboration of Cardi B and Bruno Mars. Last year both joined their voices on the hit track ‘Finesse (remix)’. Note that the music video of ‘Please me’, which came to light on March 1, already has more than 50 million views on YouTube.

Nicki Minaj Cancels Concert, French Fanbase Chants Cardi B’s Name

Nicki Minaj’s European excursion just got a whole lot murkier, now that a second show has been canceled due to technical difficulties, in as many months.

In the following video explaining the ordeal, the Bordeaux venue where the concert was being staged didn’t have enough electricity running through its sockets to pull off a studded Queenlike performance –hence the cancelation on such short notice.

“You guys, it’s not in my best interest not to perform, lose money and aggravate my fans,” -Nicki Minaj

In the video she posted on her Instagram. The non-delusional Nicki fans will likely take offense to the nonchalance she displayed in smoking a cigar while issuing the message.

“These two cities that had technical issues are cities that I’d never been to before and we tried to add them but they just didn’t have the power in the building to facilitate my show and they didn’t tell us until three hours before the show as opposed to once we did sound check they said it was fine,” she belabored.

Bordeaux fans who were stopped flat at the gate didn’t fare much better neither.
To make this situation even worse, a good number of them joined together in chanting, “Cardi B, Cardi B, Cardi B!” more or less out of spite. Just last month, Nicki Minaj was also forced to cancel another show in Bratislava over similar issues. Looks as though the Nicki WRLD Tour is pretty high maintenance in order to have this many issues.
