Warner’s Music Group is to going to be having a virtual concert that would held for three days, the Play On Festival would be a benefit concert to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the concert will be running from April 24th–26th!

The revenue raised from this event will be going to the World Health Organization due to the organization’s loss of federal funding! The three-day live event will kick off with LL Cool J at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24. Fans will be able to tune in and watch the streams live via PlayOnFest.com

YEARS LATER: Cardi B’s “I Like It” Went #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Two Years Ago

Two years ago today, Cardi B’s hit single, “I Like It” went #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts! With “I Like It” going #1, it made her the first female rapper to have 2 #1 hit songs! “I Like It” was the fourth single from the album, ‘Invasion of Privacy!”

Since, “I Like It” released, it became the first song led by a female rapper to surpass a billion streams on Spotify, also making her the first woman in hip hop with a pair of billion-streamers on the service. I Like It” is the highest-ranked song led by a female rapper on the Billboard Hot 100 decade-end chart for the 2010s.

It was certified octuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2019. The music video for, “I Like It” has also accumulated over 1 BILLION views on YouTube!

“Invasion of Privacy” Has Now Spent 106 Weeks on the Billboard 200 Charts

Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” has spent 100 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 back in March. It has now spent over 106 weeks on the Billboard Hot 200 Album Charts, while sitting at the #87 position on the charts!

The Play On Fest will livestream a series of performances from previously recorded concerts of the label group’s most notable artists including Coldplay, Cardi B, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Lil Uzi Vert, Janelle Monae, Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At the Disco, Roddy Ricch, Charli XCX, Gucci Mane and others.

The three-day live event will kick off with LL Cool J at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24. Fans will be able to tune in and watch the streams live via PlayOnFest.com or SongKick’s YouTube channel.

Two years ago today, Cardi B’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” went #1 on the Billboard Hot 200!

‘Invasion of Privacy’ debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 255,000 sold. It produced the Hot 100 #1 hits “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It”, won the Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’ and had all of its songs certified Gold or higher in the US.

The album set multiple streaming records, while all the thirteen tracks entered the Hot 100—all except the lead single charted simultaneously in the debut week. She became the first female artist to have all tracks from an album certified gold or higher by the RIAA. It was the top female rap album of the 2010s, according to the Billboard 200 decade-end chart.

It became the longest-charting debut album by a female rapper on the Billboard 200, and the most-streamed album by a female rapper on Spotify.

From two years ago today, Cardi B made her first debut on the Ellen Show! In this episode of Cardi and Ellen, Cardi and Ellen discussed her hallmark year of 2018; including the Saturday Night Live pregnancy announcement and twerking while pregnant at Coachella.

This interview would also be taking place around the time Cardi’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy” was already out available. The album was released on April 6th of that year, meaning it would’ve already been two weeks old since its released!

“Writing on the Wall,” is the single off from French Montana’s third studio album, “Montana” that featured Cardi B and Post Malone.

The single is now certified GOLD in the US! This is Cardi’s 30th song to reach this milestone.

YEARS LATER: A Year Ago Cardi B & Offset “Clout” Music Video was Released

One year ago today, Offset and Cardi B released the music video for “Clout.” The music video has been viewed nearly 300 MILLION times. “Clout” as a single is currently eligible for 3x platinum in the US.

The Daniel Russell-directed music video was announced by Cardi B on April 16 and released on April 17, 2019. Offset and Joseph Desrosiers Jr. served as a creative directors. The music video was inspired by Janet Jackson & Busta Rhymes’ “What’s It Gonna Be” video.

It features Offset and Cardi B delivering their verses in a yellow and black hall of mirrors. Cardi B is also shown in an all-yellow outfit in a pile of lemons, and also wearing all-black leather bondage outfit giving a lap dance to Offset.
